How do I make a wandering trader permanent?
Use a name tag on any wandering trader to prevent them from despawning. Once named, they will remain in your world indefinitely until you kill them or they die to another cause.
Do I need to do anything special to activate the mod?
No, the mod works automatically once installed. Simply find a wandering trader and use a name tag on them—the mod handles the rest.
Can I rename a trader after I've already named them?
Yes, you can use another name tag on a named trader to give them a different name. They will remain permanent as long as they have any name tag applied.
What happens if a named trader dies?
Named traders can still be killed by mobs, fall damage, or other hazards. Once dead, they are gone permanently, so protect them if you want to keep using their trades.
Can I have multiple named traders in the same world?
Yes, you can name as many wandering traders as you want and keep them all in your world. This lets you build a trading hub with different traders offering different items.
Do named traders still move around or do they stay in one spot?
Named traders retain their normal wandering behavior and will roam around your world. You can use fences, walls, or other blocks to contain them in a specific area if you prefer.
