Using Armor Trims with Minimal Armor
Applying Trims to Minimal Armor
Armor trims (added in Minecraft 1.20) let you customize the appearance of your gear with different patterns and materials. This resource pack fully supports trims while keeping the minimal aesthetic intact.
How to Add Trims
1. Craft or find a trim template — these are found in various structures or crafted with specific ingredients.
2. Gather the trim material — smithing templates require a material like copper, iron, gold, lapis, or emerald depending on the trim style.
3. Use a smithing table to combine your armor piece, template, and material.
4. Equip the trimmed armor — the trim pattern will display clearly on the minimal armor design without clashing.
What to Expect
- Trim patterns are fully visible against the reduced armor coverage.
- Different trim materials create distinct color accents (copper creates warm tones, lapis creates blue, etc.).
- Your skin remains visible underneath, with the trim adding a decorative layer on top.
- All armor tiers support trims equally well with this pack.
