My Minimal Armor by CountXD Resource Pack FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
Do I need to do anything after installing the pack or does it just work?
The pack applies automatically once activated in your resource packs menu—no configuration needed. Simply load a world and your armor will display with the minimal design.
Will I still get the same armor protection even though it looks thinner?
Yes, this is purely a visual change; your armor provides identical defense values regardless of how it appears. The minimal design doesn't affect gameplay mechanics at all.
Can I see my skin through all armor types or just some?
All six vanilla armor sets (leather, chainmail, iron, gold, diamond, netherite) are redesigned to show your skin underneath while maintaining their protective appearance.
Do armor trims still show up clearly with this pack?
Yes, armor trims remain clearly visible and are specifically designed to stand out against the minimal armor base so you can see custom trim patterns during gameplay.
How do I tell what armor tier someone is wearing in PvP if it's all minimal?
Each armor tier keeps its distinct color identity—leather is brown, iron is gray, diamond is cyan, netherite is dark gray—so you can quickly identify opponent gear at a glance.
Does this work with enchantment glints?
Yes, enchanted armor still displays the standard enchantment shimmer effect over the minimal design.
Will this pack work with other resource packs I'm using?
Load this pack above any conflicting packs in your resource pack list so its armor textures take priority; if you have multiple armor packs, only the topmost one will apply.
Does the pack affect armor in the inventory or just when wearing it?
The minimal design applies to armor worn on your character; inventory icons remain unchanged so you can still identify items in your storage.
What Minecraft version does this pack support?
Check the pack's description or download page for its supported versions, as compatibility varies depending on when it was last updated.
Will using this pack affect my FPS or cause lag?
Resource packs have minimal performance impact; this pack simply replaces textures and models, so you shouldn't notice any FPS difference compared to vanilla.
