How to Craft and Use Mutant Skeleton Armor

Collecting the Pieces

Mutant Skeleton armor is not crafted from a single material — it is assembled from individual body-part items dropped by the Mutant Skeleton boss. You need to defeat the Mutant Skeleton repeatedly to gather: Mutant Skeleton Skull, Rib Cage, Rib, Pelvis, Limb, Arms, Shoulder Pad, and Boots. Each kill drops a subset of these, so expect to fight it more than once.

Assembling the Set

Once you have the parts, combine them at a crafting table to form the wearable pieces: Mutant Skeleton Skull becomes the helmet, Rib Cage and Rib form the chestplate, Pelvis and Limb form the leggings, and Arms, Shoulder Pad, and Boots form the boots. Check the exact grid arrangement in-game with JEI or REI, since the parts slot into specific positions.

Using the Armor

Equip the full set for its defensive value and any set bonuses the mod applies. The armor is intended as endgame gear, so it pairs well with the Hulk Hammer and other mod weapons. Because the parts come only from the boss, farm the Mutant Skeleton in a controlled arena where you can avoid its arrows and skull projectiles. Store spare parts in a chest near your crafting area so you can replace lost pieces without another full fight.
