How to Use the Voice of God
What It Is
The Voice of God is a special item that plays notes without needing a physical instrument in front of you. It's the go-to tool for testing melodies, building songs in empty space, or performing where placing instruments isn't practical.
Using It
1. Hold the Voice of God in your main hand.
2. Right-click to open its interface.
3. Play notes the same way you would on a piano-style instrument: click keys or use your keyboard.
4. Adjust octave and volume from the interface if available.
Pairing with Sheets
- The Voice of God can act as the performer for a Music Sheet, so a saved song plays through it.
- This is useful when you want a song to play in a location without building a full instrument setup.
Practical Uses
- Composing: sketch a melody quickly, then transcribe it into a Music Sheet.
- Redstone: combine with redstone input so a lever or pressure plate triggers a note or song.
- Ambience: place it in a base and trigger it on a timer for background music.
Tips
- If nothing plays, check that you aren't sneaking and that the item is in your main hand, not offhand.
- Keep volume moderate; stacked notes can get loud fast.
