Music and Melody Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I open the music player?
Press the default keybind (usually a configurable key) to open the custom music player menu. From there you can queue songs, shuffle, loop, and browse your playlists.
Where do I put my custom music files?
Place your .ogg music files in the mod's config folder (usually `config/musicandmelody/` or similar). The mod will automatically detect and load them the next time you start the game.
Can I make a song play only in a specific biome?
Yes, use the Custom Events system to assign songs to specific biomes. Open the music menu, navigate to events, and set which tracks should play when you're in your chosen biome.
How do I stop a vanilla track from playing?
Open the music player, find the track in the Music Albums menu, and disable it. Disabled tracks won't play during normal gameplay but can be re-enabled anytime.
Does this mod work with other music mods?
This mod may conflict with other mods that heavily modify the music system. Check the mod's documentation or community forums for known compatibility issues with specific mods.
Why are two songs playing at the same time?

Can I make boss fight music play automatically?
Yes, use Custom Events to assign specific songs to boss encounters. The mod will automatically trigger these tracks when you engage with bosses.
What audio format does the mod support?
The mod supports .ogg files for custom music. Make sure your audio files are in this format before adding them to the config folder.
How do I shuffle my playlist?
Open your custom playlist in the music player menu and toggle the shuffle option. Songs will now play in random order instead of sequentially.
Can I loop a single song or entire playlist?
Yes, the music player has loop controls that let you repeat a single track or loop your entire playlist. Toggle these options in the player menu.
