MultiWorld Plugin FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I create my first world?
Use `/world create ` to generate a new world with default settings, or add a world type like `/world create survival` to specify the environment. You can then teleport to it with `/world teleport `.
Can I convert my existing world to work with MultiWorld?
Yes, use `/world import ` to bring an existing world into the MultiWorld system. The world must be in your server's world folder for this to work.
How do I set different game modes for different worlds?
Use `/world flag ` to adjust world settings like game mode and difficulty for each world individually. Check `/world info ` to see what properties are currently set.
What's the difference between linking and teleporting?
Teleporting moves a player to another world using `/world teleport`, while linking connects dimensions together—use `/world link ` so players can access the Nether or End from your custom world.
Do I need to give players permission to switch worlds?
Yes, players need the `multiworld.teleport` permission to move between worlds, and `multiworld.use` to interact with the plugin at all. Server admins should grant these via your permissions plugin.
Can I delete a world without losing the server?
Yes, `/world delete ` safely removes a world from the MultiWorld system. Make sure no players are in that world first, and consider backing it up if you might need it later.
How do I prevent certain players from entering a world?
Use `/world whitelist enable` to activate whitelist mode, then `/world whitelist add ` to allow specific players. Use `remove` to deny access.
What happens if I unload a world instead of deleting it?
Unloading with `/world unload ` keeps the world data intact but removes it from active memory, which can improve server performance. Use `/world load ` to bring it back online.
Can I duplicate a world with custom settings?
Yes, use `/world clone ` to create an exact copy of a world including all its flags and settings.
Does MultiWorld work with custom world generators?
Yes, you can specify a custom generator when creating a world with `/world create `, though the generator must be installed on your server separately.
