Multi Golem Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I build a golem?
Place four blocks of your chosen material in a T-shape: one block on the bottom center, one directly above it, and one block on each side of the upper block. Then place a carved pumpkin on top of the center block to summon your golem.
What materials can I use to make golems?
You can build golems from copper, redstone, gold, lapis, emerald, diamond, netherite, or mossy cobblestone. Each material creates a different golem variant with unique powers and abilities.
How do I heal my golem?
Right-click your damaged golem with its matching crafting material—for example, use copper ingots on a copper golem or lapis lazuli on a lapis golem. You can disable this feature in the mod's configuration if needed.
Why is my golem not attacking creepers?
The mod prevents golems from attacking creepers by default to protect your builds from explosion damage. If you want to change this behavior, you can adjust the ignored_target_types setting in the configuration.
Do I need to install this mod on my client to play on a server?
No, the mod works server-side only, so vanilla players can join servers running Multi Golem Mod without installing any client files. You'll see custom textures if you have the mod installed on your client, but it's not required.
Which golem is best for protecting villages?
The lapis golem shields nearby villagers from harmful magic and potion effects, while the emerald golem heals itself when standing near villagers. For raw combat power, the diamond golem's lightning strikes are excellent against hostile mobs.
What does the copper golem do when struck by lightning?
Instead of taking damage, the copper golem heals whenever it gets struck by lightning, making it especially useful in stormy biomes or near lightning rods.
Can I turn off specific golem types?
Yes, use the golem_availability configuration option to enable or disable individual golem types for both manual building and natural village spawning.
Does the zombie golem attack my villagers?
Yes, the zombie golem is hostile to villagers and will attack them, spread status ailments, and heal itself by consuming rotten flesh. Keep it away from your villages unless you want it to cause trouble.
How do I adjust golem stats like health and damage?
Use the max_health and attack_damage configuration options to adjust these values for specific golem variants to suit your gameplay needs.
