Setting Up Your First Russian Train Line
Placing Tracks and Infrastructure
Start by gathering the railway infrastructure blocks from the mod's creative inventory or through crafting. Place catenary poles along your intended route—these overhead lines are essential for electric trains. Lay down the track blocks in a continuous path, ensuring they connect properly at junctions. The mod provides specialized track pieces for curves and switches, so use these to create realistic rail layouts rather than straight lines.
Adding Your First Train
Once your track is complete, use the mod's train spawner or configuration system to place a train model at your starting station. Russian trains like the ER1 or Sr3 are good beginner choices. Position your locomotive at the track's beginning and link passenger or cargo cars behind it. Test the route by activating the train through the controller interface—you should see it move along your tracks with custom animations and sounds playing.
Decorating Your Station
Add station props and decorative elements around your platform. The mod includes benches, signs, and lighting fixtures designed to match Russian railway aesthetics. Place these on the platform area to create an immersive station environment before your trains arrive.
