MTR NTE International Train Pack Resource Pack FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

Do I need anything else to use this resource pack?
Yes, you need the base Minecraft Transit Railway mod installed first, along with its required extensions. This pack only adds content on top of MTR and won't work without it.
How do I place Russian trains on my tracks?
Use the MTR mod's train spawning system to select from the new Russian train models added by this pack. The trains appear in your available roster once the resource pack is loaded.
Why don't the train sounds work?
Make sure the resource pack is set to high priority in your resource pack list and that you're using a compatible version of MTR. Custom sounds require the pack to load before conflicting audio files.
Can I see the cabin displays and controller animations?
Yes, but you need to enter the train cabin using MTR's first-person view mode. Not all train models in the pack have working displays—check the documentation for which trains feature them.
What's the difference between catenary lines and regular tracks?
Catenary lines are the overhead power cables that hang above tracks and are purely visual/decorative, while regular tracks are what trains actually run on. You can build both together to make stations look realistic.
How do I make trains stop at multiple stations on one route?
Use MTR's route editor to define multiple waypoints and stations along your track path. Each station you place will automatically become a stop if it's connected to your route.
Will this pack work with other train resource packs?
Mixing multiple train packs can cause texture and model conflicts. It's best to use this pack alone or check compatibility notes if you want to combine it with other MTR content.
How much does this pack affect my game performance?
The detailed models and custom sounds add some overhead, especially with many trains running at once. Performance depends on your hardware and how many trains you spawn simultaneously.
Can I customize the train horn and brake sounds?
The pack includes pre-configured sounds for each train model, but you can replace the audio files in the resource pack folder if you want different sounds. Refer to the pack's file structure to find the sound directories.
Do I need to update this pack when MTR updates?
Check the pack's release notes when MTR updates, as major changes to the base mod can sometimes break resource pack compatibility. Most minor updates won't require a pack update.
