How to Place a Carried Boat Into Water

Aiming the Boat

While carrying a boat, look at the spot where you want it to go. The boat hovers in front of you, so the placement point is roughly where the boat currently floats. For water, aim so the boat is directly over the surface — the mod is designed to slide it neatly into the water rather than dropping it awkwardly.

Right-Click to Place

Press right-click to set the boat down. It will settle into the target location. If you are aiming at water, the boat lands on the surface and is immediately ready to board. If you are aiming at land, it places on the ground like a normal boat.

Tips for Clean Placement

• Stand close to the water's edge and look slightly down at the surface so the boat lands flat.
• If the boat does not place where you expect, step back and re-aim — the hover position is your placement preview.
• You can place a boat on land next to water and then push it in, but placing directly on water is faster.
• After placing, you are free to right-click the boat again to board it, or pick it up once more if you change your mind.

This is the core loop of the mod: grab, walk, drop. Once you have done it a couple of times, ferrying boats between lakes or across a base becomes second nature.
