How do I pick up a boat in Move Boats Mod?
Stand next to the boat and press Shift + right-click while looking at it. The boat will lift up and float in front of you, following your movement.
How do I put a carried boat back down?
Right-click while carrying the boat to place it wherever you're looking. Aim at water to drop it straight in, or at land to set it down on the ground.
Can I carry a boat with a passenger or chest inside?
Empty the boat first — remove any passengers and take out items from a chest boat before picking it up. Carrying a loaded boat can drop its contents or fail to pick up.
Why won't my boat pick up when I press Shift + right-click?
Make sure you're looking directly at the boat and standing close enough, and that you aren't already carrying another boat. If you're in water, aim at the boat itself rather than the water surface.
Does the boat follow me while I'm swimming or flying?
Yes, the carried boat stays in front of you and follows your movement, including while swimming, walking, or flying in creative mode. It stays with you until you right-click to place it.
Can I move a boat across land without breaking it?
Yes — pick it up with Shift + right-click, walk to where you want it, then right-click to set it down. This avoids the boat breaking into planks and sticks like it does when you punch it.
How do I get a boat into water from land?
Carry the boat to the water's edge and right-click while aiming at the water. The boat will be placed floating on the surface, ready to ride.
Does Move Boats Mod work on servers and with other players?
It works on multiplayer servers only if the mod is installed on the server side as well as the client. On vanilla servers without the mod, the pick-up action won't register.
Will Move Boats Mod conflict with other mods or cause lag?
It's a lightweight mod and generally doesn't cause performance issues or conflicts. If you notice problems, check whether another mod also overrides boat interactions or right-click behavior.
Can I carry more than one boat at a time?
No — you can only hold one boat at a time. Place the current boat down before picking up another one.
