How to Pick Up and Carry a Boat in Move Boats Mod

The Basic Pickup

Walk up to any placed boat and press Shift + right-click while looking at it. The boat lifts off the ground and hovers in front of your character, following you as you walk, sprint, or jump. You do not need to break the boat, and it will not drop as an item — it stays rendered in front of you the whole time.

Moving Around While Carrying

Once the boat is floating in front of you, just move normally. The boat tracks your position, so you can walk across land, through caves, or along a dock without it getting stuck. If you look around, the boat stays oriented in front of your view, which makes it easy to line up a landing spot before you set it down.

Things to Watch For

• You can only carry one boat at a time. Trying to grab a second one while already holding one will not work.
• The boat follows your facing direction, so turning your camera also swings the boat around. This is handy for aiming at water.
• If you take damage or get knocked back, the boat stays attached to you — you will not lose it mid-carry.
• To stop carrying, simply place the boat (see the placing guide) or release it by right-clicking.

Practice the pickup on a boat sitting on grass first, then try it near water so you get a feel for how the boat swings when you turn.
