Mouse Tweaks Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I enable Mouse Tweaks Mod features?
All features are enabled by default, but you can customize them in Forge's mod options menu or by editing the configuration file. Each mechanic (RMB Tweak, LMB Tweak, Wheel Tweak) has its own toggle setting you can turn on or off.
What's the difference between lmb tweak with and without item?
LMB Tweak with item lets you drag to gather all identical items into your cursor. LMB Tweak without item (used while holding Shift) lets you drag items directly into another inventory without picking them up first.
How do I distribute items evenly across slots?
Hold right mouse button and drag the item stack across multiple empty slots—the stack will split evenly across each slot you drag over. If you drag over the same slot multiple times, it will place one item there each time.
Can I use mouse tweaks with modded inventories?
Yes, Mouse Tweaks works with any block or object that has its own inventory, including items and blocks added by other mods.
How do I move items with the scroll wheel?
Scroll down on an item stack to move items out one by one, or scroll up to pull items into that stack from another inventory. Hold Shift while scrolling to move entire stacks at once.
Does mouse tweaks work in Minecraft Bedrock?
No, Mouse Tweaks is designed for Java Edition only and does not work in Bedrock Edition.
Why aren't my mouse tweaks features working?
Check that the feature is enabled in your configuration settings—each mechanic has its own toggle. Make sure you're using the correct mouse button and modifier key combination for the feature you want.
Can I gather all of one item type from my inventory at once?
Yes, use LMB Tweak with item: hold left mouse button and drag across your inventory, and all items matching the type you started on will be gathered into your cursor.
Does mouse tweaks replace vanilla dragging mechanics?
The RMB Tweak feature replaces the standard right-click dragging mechanic if enabled, but you can disable it to use vanilla dragging instead. The other features add new mechanics without replacing vanilla behavior.
Can I customize which mouse buttons trigger each feature?
The mod uses fixed button combinations (left click, right click, and scroll wheel), but you can enable or disable each feature individually through the configuration file to suit your preference.
