Mounted Pearl Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
Do I need to do anything to enable this mod or does it work automatically?
The mod works automatically once installed—there are no config files to edit or commands to run. Simply throw an ender pearl while riding any mount and you'll teleport together.
What mounts does this work with?
The mod works with horses, donkeys, mules, llamas, camels, and other rideable entities. If you can sit on it, the mod should bring it with you when you pearl.
Does the mount take damage when I teleport with it?
No, the mount teleports safely with you and takes no fall damage or other harm from the pearl throw. Your mount's health is preserved during the teleport.
What happens to my mount if I throw a pearl while not riding it?
The mod only affects pearls thrown while you're actively riding—if you dismount and throw a pearl, you'll teleport alone as normal.
Can I use ender pearls for combat escapes while mounted?
Yes, you can throw a pearl mid-combat to escape with your mount intact, which is useful for keeping your horse safe during PvP or dangerous situations.
Does this mod work with mods that add custom mounts?
It should work with most custom mounts from other mods, though compatibility depends on how those mods implement rideable entities. Test with your specific mods to confirm.
Will this mod cause lag or performance issues?
The mod is lightweight and shouldn't cause noticeable performance impact, as it only adds logic when an ender pearl is thrown while mounted.
What if my mount gets stuck after teleporting?
If your mount appears stuck, try moving around or dismounting and remounting—the mod teleports the mount to your location, so terrain or block placement can occasionally cause positioning issues that resolve with movement.
Does this work with saddles, armor, and items on the mount?
Yes, everything on your mount—saddle, armor, chests, and inventory—teleports with it just as it would if you traveled normally.
Can I use this to teleport multiple mounts at once?
No, only the mount you're currently riding teleports with you; other nearby mounts stay behind.
