How to Build an Efficient More Villagers Trading Hall

Layout That Actually Works

A good trading hall keeps every villager separated so they can't swap workstations. Build a row of one-block cells, each containing a single workstation and a bed, with a trapdoor or fence gate the player can open to trade. Put the workstation at the back of the cell so the villager stands facing you when you trade.

Assigning Professions Reliably

1. Place one unemployed villager per cell.

2. Place the matching workstation (Blueprint Table, Forestry Bench, Gardening Table, Hunting Post, Mining Bench, Oceanography Table, Decayed Workbench, or Purpur Altar) inside that cell only.

3.

4. Trade once to lock in the first offer.

5. If the offer is bad, break the block, let them become unemployed, and replace it to reroll.

Keeping Prices Down

Cure a zombie villager before assigning a profession — cured villagers give permanent discounts on all trades. Combine that with Hero of the Village from a raid and your emerald costs drop dramatically. Stock each cell with the item the villager wants to buy so you can cycle trades quickly without running back to storage.
