Locating Giant Trees

Giant trees spawn naturally in biomes where their regular variants grow. Search forests, birch forests, dark forests, and other tree-heavy biomes. Giant trees are significantly taller than normal ones, so they're visible from a distance—climb high ground or use a tall vantage point to spot them across the landscape.

Harvesting Strategy

Giant trees yield substantially more wood than standard trees, but their height makes harvesting tricky. Use a tall pillar or scaffold to reach the canopy safely. Start from the top and work downward to avoid falling damage.

Bring an axe enchanted with Efficiency to speed up wood collection. Consider using a Fortune-enchanted axe if you want to maximize sapling drops for replanting.

Safety Tips

Be aware that the dense foliage of giant trees creates dark shadows underneath, even during daytime. Hostile mobs like spiders can spawn in these shaded areas. Light up the base of the tree with torches before harvesting, or clear the area first. Wear armor and bring a weapon in case mobs spawn while you're working.
