How to Unlock the Elite Four and the Pokémon Adventures Starter Challenges

Two separate progression tracks exist in this pack: the league track that ends at the Elite Four, and the manga-inspired starter challenges. Both are gated behind beating earlier trainer groups.

Unlocking the Elite Four

You do not get access to the Elite Four immediately. The pack's unlock system requires you to defeat certain trainer groups first — typically the gym leaders and evil team members tied to that region. Clear those encounters, and the Elite Four becomes challengeable. If an Elite Four member will not battle you, you have missed a prerequisite somewhere earlier in that chain.

The Starter Challenges

These pit you against characters from the Pokémon Adventures manga. Winning against them unlocks new heroes you can then use or face. Treat them as a side progression: they are self-contained, but they still use maxed-stat teams, so do not walk in with an under-trained party.

Practical order

Work region by region rather than jumping around. Finish a region's gym leaders, clear its evil team, then move to its Elite Four. Keep a written note of which trainers you have beaten — with this many unlock flags, it is easy to forget which group is still blocking your next challenge.
