Attacking Specific Body Parts of Mobs
Targeting Different Hitboxes
Once a mob has multiple hitboxes, you can aim for specific body parts to change how combat plays out.
How to Aim Precisely
1. Look closely at the mob before attacking—identify where the head, body, and legs are positioned
2. Aim your crosshair at the specific part you want to hit
3. Attack as normal—your sword or weapon will register hits on that particular hitbox
What Changes Based on Target
Depending on how the mod that added the hitboxes configured them:
- Head hits might deal extra damage or apply status effects
- Body hits could be the standard damage zone
- Leg hits might reduce the mob's movement speed
- Special attack boxes (marked by the mod creator) may trigger unique effects
Combat Strategy
Pay attention to which body parts are easiest to reach given the mob's current animation. Some mobs may lower their head to attack, making it a vulnerable target. Others might raise their legs, creating an opening. Precise aiming rewards skillful play.
