Compost Decorative and Crafting Materials

Recycle Blocks and Items You Don't Need

This data pack makes many decorative and utility items compostable, helping you clear inventory while generating bone meal.

Compostable Materials

Items like sticks, string, feathers, carpets, bamboo, scutes, honeycomb, and various dyes are now compostable at low percentages (typically 10%). Chorus fruit and popped chorus fruit compost at higher rates.

How to Use

1. Gather unwanted materials from building, crafting, or exploration.

2. Drop them into a composter by right-clicking, or feed them through a hopper system.

3. Combine low-chance items with higher-chance materials to speed up filling.

4. Collect bone meal once the composter reaches level 7.

Practical Applications

  • Clear out excess dyes from your inventory after farming.
  • Recycle sticks and string from your crafting area.
  • Process chorus fruit you've collected but don't need for potions.
  • Set up a dedicated composter near your building area to handle scraps immediately.
