Which Buckets Work

Only copper, gold, and diamond buckets can pick up powder snow. Wooden and bamboo buckets cannot. Copper is the cheapest option if you only need powder snow collection.

Craft a Copper Bucket

Gather five copper ingots and arrange them in a V-shape at your crafting table. Copper buckets are permanent (never break) and stack up to 16 when empty, making them perfect for bulk powder snow gathering.

Collect and Transport

Right-click on powder snow blocks to fill your bucket. Since copper buckets stack, you can carry multiple full buckets at once—useful for large-scale powder snow projects like creating powder snow farms or filling storage areas.

Combine with Other Fluids

Copper buckets only hold powder snow and water, not lava. If you need a versatile bucket that handles all fluids including powder snow, upgrade to a diamond bucket instead. Diamond buckets are permanent, stack when empty, and hold everything.
