Surviving the Mooseman

The Mooseman is a rare forest predator that hunts relentlessly once spotted. Do not look directly at it unless prepared for combat—eye contact triggers an immediate chase.

If hunted, sprint away and maintain a distance of at least 120 blocks to break its trail. The creature tracks you through walls, opens doors, and teleports behind you if cornered, making hiding ineffective.

To fight, equip heavy armor and a strong melee weapon. Arrows deal minimal damage, so ranged combat is not viable. If you spot the Mooseman before it sees you, use the stare mechanic: look directly at it to freeze it in place for three seconds while a heartbeat sound plays—your only window to escape or prepare for battle.
