How to Use Beacon Golems and Beacon Lasers
Beacon Laser and Beacon Cannon
Beacon Laser is a mob-like projectile entity that fires from beacon-equipped golems or beacon blocks. Beacon Cannon is the weapon item that lets a golem fire beacon beams. Beacon Boots are the matching armor piece, often granting mobility or a beacon-related effect.
Setting Up a Beacon Golem
1. Build a golem with a ranged-capable arm type.
2. Equip a Beacon Cannon in its weapon slot.
3. Install a Beacon Boots piece in the boots slot for the set bonus.
4. Optionally add Float Upgrade so the golem can reposition without fall damage.
How the Laser Works
When the golem acquires a target, it charges and fires a beam. The beam travels in a straight line and damages the first entity it hits. Line of sight matters — walls block it. Place the golem on elevated ground or a tower for clear shots.
Tips
- Pair beacon golems with melee golems: melee holds the line, beacon golems shoot over them.
- Beacon Lasers can hit friendly mobs if they cross the beam — keep your pets behind the firing line.
- If the cannon won't fire, check ammo or cooldown requirements in the golem's interface.
