How to Add and Use Upgrade Slots on a Golem
Expanding the Upgrade Grid
Golems start with a limited number of upgrade slots. Use Add 1 Upgrade Slot or Add 100 Upgrade Slots items on a golem (via the workbench or by right-clicking) to expand its capacity. Each slot holds one upgrade.
Installing Upgrades
Open the golem's upgrade interface and drag an upgrade item into an empty slot. Confirmed upgrades take effect immediately.
Notable Upgrades and What They Do
- Diamond Upgrade / Emerald Upgrade: boost the golem's base stats (health, damage, or armor depending on the upgrade).
- Golden Apple Upgrade / Enchanted Golden Apple Upgrade: grant regeneration or absorption effects.
- Fire Immune Upgrade: makes the golem immune to fire and lava damage.
- Float Upgrade: lets the golem hover or avoid fall damage.
- Ender Sight Upgrade: improves the golem's targeting range or lets it see through certain blocks.
- Bell Upgrade: adds a utility effect (often a warning or rally behavior).
- Empty Upgrade: a blank slot filler — useful as a placeholder or crafting ingredient.
Tips
Stack defensive upgrades (Fire Immune, Float) on golems you send into the Nether or caves. Stack offensive upgrades on golems you use as guards. Remove an upgrade by shift-right-clicking it in the interface if the mod supports extraction.
