How to Fix Crashes and Bugs Using ModernFix-mVUS
ModernFix-mVUS bundles a wide set of bug fixes that target modded stability, so many crashes you would normally chase down manually are already handled for you. The trick is knowing where to look when something still goes wrong.
Check What the Mod Already Patched
Before editing configs or removing other mods, launch the game and reproduce the crash. Open the crash report and read the top of the stack trace. ModernFix-mVUS often rewrites or suppresses known-bad code paths, so if the report points at a vanilla or loader class rather than a mod class, the fix may already be active and the real cause is elsewhere. Look for the mod's own log lines during startup, which flag which patches were applied and which were skipped.
Narrow Down Remaining Issues
If a crash persists, temporarily disable other performance mods that overlap with ModernFix-mVUS, since duplicate patches can conflict. Reproduce again with only ModernFix-mVUS plus the mod you suspect. If the crash disappears, re-enable mods one at a time to find the conflict. When a specific mod is confirmed as the trigger, report it with the full log rather than assuming ModernFix-mVUS is at fault.
When to Leave It Alone
Do not disable patches blindly. Most fixes are safe and disabling them reintroduces the original bug. Only touch configuration if a patch is explicitly named in a crash and you have confirmed it is the cause.
