How to Fix Gaps Between Blocks in Minecraft with Model Gap Fix
What the Mod Actually Does
Model Gap Fix is a client-side mod that removes the tiny seams you see at the corners and edges of 3D block models. Vanilla Minecraft zooms block textures slightly so the outer pixels bleed inward, which leaves visible gaps where two block faces meet. The mod disables that zooming so every face uses the full texture. Once installed, the fix is automatic — you do not toggle anything per block.
Steps to Confirm It Is Working
1. Launch the game with the mod loaded on the client side only. You do not need it on a server.
2. Place two of the same block next to each other, such as stone or planks, and look at the seam between them from a few blocks away.
3. Compare the corner where three blocks meet. Before the mod, you would see a thin dark line or a sliver of background; after the mod, the faces should meet cleanly.
4. If gaps remain, check that no resource pack is overriding block textures with a custom model format, since some packs ship their own geometry that the mod cannot correct.
5. If you use shaders, test with them disabled first. Some shader packs change how faces are culled and can reintroduce visible seams.
If the gaps persist after these checks, the block you are looking at likely uses a custom model from a mod or resource pack rather than a standard vanilla cube.
