How to Hide the Health Plaque on Specific Mobs
Using the Config to Filter Mobs
Mob Plaques shows a tiny health bar above every mob's name tag by default, which can get noisy in farms, villages, or boss arenas. To hide plaques for specific mobs, open the mod's config file (found in your config folder or via the in-game config menu if you use a config GUI mod). Look for the mob filtering or blacklist/whitelist section. You can typically add entity IDs such as minecraft:chicken or minecraft:villager to exclude them from displaying plaques.
Testing Your Changes
After editing the config, save the file and reload it. Most config screens apply changes immediately; if you edited the raw file, you may need to reopen the world or use the config reload keybind. Walk up to a mob you blacklisted and confirm no plaque appears above its name tag. Then check a mob you left enabled to make sure plaques still render correctly. If a mob still shows a plaque, double-check the entity ID spelling — modded mobs use their own namespace, so a modded cow is not minecraft:cow.
When to Use Whitelist Mode
If you only want plaques on a handful of mobs (for example, just bosses or just your pets), switch the filter to whitelist mode instead. In whitelist mode, only the mobs you list will show plaques, and everything else stays clean. This is the better choice for busy worlds with lots of passive mobs.
