Mizuno’s Better Grass Resource Pack FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I activate the better grass textures after installing the pack?
Once installed, the pack applies automatically—no activation needed. Load a world and you'll see the grass block top texture extended to all sides. If you don't see changes, verify the pack is above vanilla in your resource pack list.
Why do my grass blocks still look normal on the sides?
Check that the resource pack is enabled and positioned above any conflicting packs in your resource pack menu. If using another grass-modifying pack, disable it or place Mizuno's Better Grass lower in load order so it takes priority.
Does this work with Optifine or shader packs?
Yes, this pack works alongside Optifine and most shader packs since it only modifies textures, not rendering. Load order doesn't matter much for shaders, but keep the pack enabled in your resource pack list.
What blocks get the better grass treatment?
Grass blocks, mycelium, podzol, dirt paths, and all variants of nylium (crimson and warped) receive the seamless top-texture treatment. Other dirt and terrain blocks remain unchanged.
Can I use this with other texture packs at the same time?
Yes—place Mizuno's Better Grass above other packs in your resource pack list if you want its grass textures to override theirs, or below if you prefer the other pack's grass style. Both can coexist without conflicts.
Does this pack affect performance or require mods?
No—it's a pure resource pack with no performance impact and requires no mods or shaders. It works on vanilla Minecraft.
Why do grass blocks look different in different biomes?
This is normal and intentional—the pack applies each biome's grass color to all sides of the block, so swamp grass stays swampy and mountain grass stays green. The top texture is consistent within each biome.
Does this work in older Minecraft versions?
This pack is designed for modern Minecraft versions and the Mizuno's 16 Craft style. Check the pack's description or download page to confirm compatibility with your specific version.
How do I remove this pack if I don't like it?
Uncheck or delete the pack from your resource pack folder, then reload your world. Grass blocks will revert to vanilla textures immediately.
Does the pack affect underwater grass or tall grass?
No—only full grass blocks and the related terrain blocks (mycelium, podzol, etc.) are affected. Seagrass and tall grass plants remain unchanged.
