Mini Stuff Resource Pack FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I enable the mini item scaling?
Mini Stuff Resource Pack works automatically once installed—no configuration needed. Simply load the resource pack in your world settings, and all in-hand items and blocks will appear scaled down by default.
Can I make items even smaller or larger than the default?
The pack applies a fixed scale to all items and blocks. If you need different sizing, you can edit the model files in the resource pack folder, though this requires familiarity with JSON model editing.
Does this work with third-person view?
Yes, the scaling applies to both first-person and third-person perspectives, so other players will see your items at the same reduced size.
Will mini items affect my combat performance?
No—this is purely visual and doesn't change weapon damage, attack speed, or any combat mechanics. It only makes items appear smaller so you can see enemies and the environment better during fights.
Does this resource pack work with mods that add custom items?
Custom items from other mods will only be scaled if Mini Stuff includes models for them; most modded items will appear at normal size. Check compatibility with specific mods you're using.
Can I use this with other resource packs?
Yes, but resource packs stack based on load order—whichever pack is loaded last will override conflicting textures or models. Place Mini Stuff higher in your pack list if you want its scaling to take priority.
Does mini scaling affect block placement or building precision?
No, blocks place and align normally; the scaling is only visual. You'll see a smaller preview, but placement mechanics and grid alignment remain unchanged.
Why do some items still look large?
Mini Stuff scales most common items and blocks, but some specialty or modded items may not have scaled models included. Only items with custom models in the pack will appear smaller.
Does this resource pack impact FPS or performance?
No, Mini Stuff is lightweight and doesn't add extra rendering or processing—it simply replaces model files, so performance impact is negligible.
Can I disable mini scaling for specific items only?
You'd need to manually edit the resource pack's model files to restore individual items to normal size, which requires JSON editing knowledge. Otherwise, the scaling applies to all included items.
