Configure Spawner Breaking Requirements

Understanding Configuration Options

The mod offers three breaking modes controlled by the break_spawner scoreboard value. Each mode changes what tool or condition is required to successfully collect a spawner.

Setting Your Preferred Mode

Open your chat and use the command:

`

/scoreboard players set &break_spawner config.mineablespawner <value>

`

Replace <value> with:

  • 0 = Break with any pickaxe (no enchantment needed)
  • 1 = Requires Silk Touch enchantment on pickaxe (default)
  • 2 = Spawner breaks but drops nothing

Choosing the Right Mode

Use mode 1 (Silk Touch) for a balanced challenge—players must enchant their tools before collecting spawners. Mode 0 makes spawners easier to obtain. Mode 2 is useful for servers that want to prevent spawner collection entirely while still allowing them to be destroyed.

Applying Changes

The configuration takes effect immediately after the command executes. Test by attempting to break a spawner with your current tools.
