How do I break a spawner?
Use a pickaxe on the spawner block. By default, you need a pickaxe with silk touch to collect it; without silk touch, the spawner will break but won't drop anything. Check your server's configuration to see if the breaking requirements have been changed.
Do I get XP when I break a spawner?
By default, yes—spawners drop experience when broken, just like other blocks. Your server admin can disable this using the xp_drop configuration option if they want to prevent XP farming from spawners.
Can I move a spawner with pistons?
No, spawners cannot be pushed or pulled by pistons. You must break the spawner with a pickaxe and place it again manually in your desired location.
What happens to the mob type when I break and place a spawner?
The spawner retains its original mob type. If you break a zombie spawner, it will still spawn zombies when you place it down again.
Do I need silk touch to collect spawners?
It depends on your server's configuration. The default setting requires silk touch, but admins can change this so spawners break with any pickaxe, or don't drop at all.
Can I use a stone pickaxe to break spawners?
Only if your server is configured to allow any pickaxe. The default configuration requires silk touch, which typically means using a diamond or netherite pickaxe enchanted with silk touch.
Will spawners work in my mob grinder after I place them?
Yes, placed spawners function identically to naturally generated ones and will spawn mobs normally once you move away from them.
Can I collect multiple spawners and use them together?
Yes, you can collect and place as many spawners as you want. Multiple spawners placed near each other will each spawn their mobs independently.
What if I break a spawner without silk touch?
If your server is configured to require silk touch, the spawner will be destroyed and won't drop anything. If configured to allow any pickaxe, it will drop and you can collect it.
Does this mod affect spawner spawn rates or mob behavior?
No, this mod only changes whether spawners can be broken and collected. All spawn rates and mob behavior remain the same as vanilla Minecraft.
