Break and Collect Your First Spawner

Finding and Preparing

Locate a spawner block in a dungeon or other generated structure. Before breaking it, ensure you have the correct tool equipped based on your mod's configuration.

Breaking the Spawner

If your server or world is configured with the default settings, equip a pickaxe with Silk Touch enchantment. Strike the spawner block repeatedly until it breaks and drops as an item you can collect.

If your configuration requires any pickaxe (no Silk Touch needed), simply use any pickaxe to break it. If configured to drop nothing, the spawner will break but won't give you an item—this setting is useful if you only want to disable spawners without collecting them.

Collecting XP

Depending on your xp_drop configuration, you may receive experience points when breaking the spawner. Check your mod settings if you're unsure whether XP will drop.

Next Steps

Once collected, the spawner becomes a placeable item in your inventory. You can now transport it anywhere and place it in your mob grinder or custom farm location.
