How to Control Which Textures and GUIs Are Affected by Mindful Darkness

Mindful Darkness includes a system for deciding which textures get darkened, so you are not forced to accept a blanket dark theme. This is useful when one menu looks bad darkened or when you want certain screens to stay bright.

Managing the Affected List

1. Open the Mindful Darkness settings and locate the texture or GUI control section.

2. You will see a way to include or exclude specific textures from the darkening pass.

3. Add entries for the textures you want to exclude if a particular screen should remain untouched.

4. Remove entries to let the mod darken them again.

Practical Tips

Start by leaving everything enabled and only exclude textures that genuinely look broken, such as screens with dark text on dark backgrounds or custom art that loses detail. After each change, reopen the affected GUI to confirm the result, because some screens cache their appearance until reloaded.

If you are unsure which texture corresponds to a screen, change one entry at a time and test, rather than editing many at once. This keeps it obvious which exclusion fixed or broke a given menu, and it makes it easy to revert a single change if you dislike the outcome.
