Adjust Mimic Spawn Rates in Your World

Access Configuration Settings

The mod includes a settings file that controls how often mimics spawn from structure chests. This file is typically located in your mod configuration folder and can be edited with any text editor.

Customize Spawn Chances

Open the configuration file and look for spawn chance or probability settings. You can increase the values to make mimics more common and dangerous, or decrease them for a more relaxed experience. Some players set rates to zero for specific structures they want to explore safely.

Apply Changes

After editing the configuration file, save your changes and restart your world or server. The new spawn rates will apply to any unopened chests you haven't encountered yet. Previously opened chests won't change—only new chest interactions use the updated settings.

This flexibility lets you tailor the mod's difficulty to your playstyle, whether you want frequent combat encounters or occasional surprises.
