How to Milk a Sheep, Pig, or Other Animal in Milk All The Mobs
What You Need
Milk All The Mobs extends vanilla milking to animals that normally can't be milked. To milk any supported animal, you need a bucket in your hand and the animal must be an adult.
Supported animals include sheep, pigs, llamas, donkeys, horses, and mules. Cows still work as they do in vanilla.
Step-by-Step
1. Craft or obtain an empty bucket.
2. Approach the animal you want to milk.
3. Equip the bucket in your main hand.
4. Right-click (use) on the animal.
5. The bucket is replaced with a Milk Bucket in your inventory, and the animal plays its milking sound and particle effect.
If right-clicking does nothing, check that you are holding an empty bucket, not a stack of items, and that the animal is fully grown. Llamas in
particular may need to be tamed or at least not hostile — an untamed llama may spit instead of cooperating.
Tips
- You can milk the same animal repeatedly; there is no cooldown beyond the normal vanilla-style delay.
- Milk Buckets stack the same way vanilla milk does, so you can carry several.
- Use milk to clear status effects or as a brewing ingredient, just like vanilla milk.
