How to Put Infinity and Mending on the Same Bow
The classic conflict
Infinity and Mending normally cancel each other out on a bow — you pick one. With Merge Enchantments installed, both can live on the same bow, giving you unlimited arrows that also repair themselves as you gain XP.
Doing the merge
1. Get a bow with one of the two enchantments already applied, plus an enchanted book (or second bow) carrying the other.
2. Open an anvil. Put the bow in the left slot and the book/donor bow in the right slot.
3. Take the result. Both Infinity and Mending should now be listed on the tooltip.
4. If you also want Power, Punch, and Flame, add them one at a time in separate anvil operations. Merge the cheaper books first to keep the XP cost down.
Practical notes
- Mending only triggers when the bow is held or in your inventory while you collect XP orbs, so keep it equipped while mining or fighting.
- Infinity still requires at least one arrow in your inventory to fire — it just will not consume it.
- If your anvil says "Too Expensive," combine the enchantment books with each other first, then apply the combined book to the bow in a single operation.
- The mod's config can disable combining for specific enchantments if you would rather keep them exclusive on a server.
