Place Medieval Paintings in Your Build

Using Paintings Like Vanilla Minecraft

Medieval paintings are placed exactly like standard Minecraft paintings. Hold a painting in your hand and right-click on a wall block. The painting will attach to the wall surface, and you can rotate it by right-clicking again until it faces the direction you want.

Sizing and Positioning

Paintings come in various sizes—some are small (1×1 wall space), while others are larger and span multiple blocks. Before placing, consider the wall space available. If a painting is too large for your intended spot, it won't place. You can remove paintings by punching them, and they'll drop as an item you can pick up and reuse.

Decorating Themed Builds

Medieval paintings work best on stone, wood, and brick walls. Try placing them in taverns above tables, in castle halls along corridors, or in dungeons to add atmosphere. Mix different paintings across a large wall for visual interest, or create a gallery by spacing them evenly. Experiment with placement—paintings can dramatically change the feel of a room with minimal effort.
