Medieval Jobs Model FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

Do I need to install a resource pack separately or does it come with the mod?
The mod ships with a ready-to-use resource pack included in the files, so you don't need to find one separately. You just need to load it on your server and the job icons will appear automatically.
Which job plugins does this mod actually work with?
Medieval Jobs Model is designed for ItemsAdder, Oraxen, and Nexo. If you're using a different job plugin, the icons may not display correctly.
I set up the mod but the job icons aren't showing in my menu. What do I do?
Check that the resource pack is loaded on your server and that players have accepted it. Make sure your job plugin is one of the three supported ones (ItemsAdder, Oraxen, or Nexo), and verify the job menu is actually opening in-game.
Can I change the job icons to match my server's theme?
Yes, you can customize the job icons by editing the resource pack files included with the mod. The guide 'Customize Job Icons for Your Server Theme' walks through replacing the default medieval artwork with your own.
How many different job icons does this mod include?
The mod includes custom icons for ten different server jobs: Blacksmith, Cutter, Digger, Enchanter, Farmer, Fisherman, Alchemist, Builder, Hunter, and Miner.
Do players need to download anything extra to see the job icons?
Players need to accept the resource pack when they join the server, but they don't need to manually download or install anything—it's handled automatically through the server.
Will this mod slow down my server or affect performance?
Medieval Jobs Model only changes the appearance of job menus and doesn't add complex mechanics or entities, so it has minimal performance impact on servers.
What if I'm using a custom job plugin that isn't ItemsAdder, Oraxen, or Nexo?
The mod is specifically built for those three plugins and may not work with other job systems. You would need to either switch to one of the supported plugins or manually integrate the icons into your custom setup.
Can I use this mod on a vanilla server or do I need a specific server type?
You need a server running one of the supported item/job plugins (ItemsAdder, Oraxen, or Nexo), so a vanilla server won't work without adding one of those first.
If I customize the icons, will they reset when the mod updates?
Custom changes you make to the resource pack files should be preserved during updates, but check the mod's changelog to see if any updates affect the resource pack structure.
