MCA Reborn X Easy Villagers Compat Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I pick up a custom villager?
Use the Easy Villagers capture item on a custom villager to convert them into a stored item. The villager will be removed from the world and added to your inventory with all their MCA data intact.
Will my villager lose their name and personality when I pick them up?
No—this mod is specifically designed to preserve all MCA data including names, genders, skins, personalities, genetics, and family relationships when villagers are stored as items.
What happens if I place a stored villager back down?
The exact same villager will spawn in the world with all their original data restored. You won't get a vanilla NPC or a clone—it's the same individual.
Can I use stored villagers inside Easy Villagers automation blocks?
Yes—that's the main purpose of this mod. You can place stored custom villagers into Easy Villagers blocks for compact automation while keeping their personalities and family trees safe.
Will my villagers get cloned if I use them in automation?
No. This mod prevents the cloning and data loss bugs that normally occur when custom villagers interact with item-based storage systems.
Can I see what villager is in my inventory?
Yes—the mod displays custom villager models directly in your hotbar, inventory, and block screens so you can see who you're carrying.
What if I have multiple stored villagers—how do I keep track of them?
Each stored villager item shows their custom model and name in tooltips and inventory screens, making it easy to identify and manage multiple villagers in compact storage.
Does this mod work with other villager mods besides MCA Reborn?
This mod is specifically designed for compatibility between MCA Reborn and Easy Villagers. Compatibility with other villager mods is not guaranteed.
What if I try to pick up a vanilla Minecraft villager?
Vanilla villagers can still be picked up with Easy Villagers, but this mod only adds special data preservation for MCA Reborn custom villagers.
Can I move stored villagers between worlds or servers?
Stored villager items behave like normal items, so they can be moved between worlds and inventories—all their MCA data will travel with them.
