Optimize Performance for Multiple 3D Maps
Identify Performance Issues
If you're experiencing framerate drops after enabling 3D rendering on multiple maps, the mod includes built-in tools to help. Open the settings menu on any framed map by sneaking and right-clicking.
Use Quality Presets
The mod provides several quality and performance presets designed to balance visual detail with framerate stability. Lower presets reduce the complexity of terrain rendering while maintaining the 3D effect. Select a preset that keeps your game smooth without sacrificing too much visual quality.
Adjust Y-Level Range
Changing the starting Y-level can also improve performance. Displaying a smaller vertical slice of terrain requires less processing than rendering a full height range. Experiment with different Y-level settings to find the sweet spot.
Global Disable Option
If performance remains problematic, use the mod's global setting to temporarily disable 3D rendering across all frames. This lets you keep the mod installed while maintaining smooth gameplay, and you can re-enable it later without any world data loss.
