How to Create and Name a Region in MapFrontiers
Opening the Region Tools
MapFrontiers adds region controls to the JourneyMap full-screen map. Open your map with the JourneyMap keybind, then look for the MapFrontiers buttons or the region panel on the side of the screen. You need to be in the full-screen map view, not the minimap, to draw regions.
Drawing Your First Region
Click the button to create a new region. Your cursor becomes a drawing tool on the map. Click to place each corner point of the polygon that outlines your territory. You can add as many points as you like to follow coastlines, rivers, or base walls. To close the shape, click back on your starting point or press the confirm key shown on screen. A filled, colored overlay appears over the area you outlined.
Naming and Coloring It
With the region selected, open its edit options. Type a name into the name field — this is what shows on the map and in the region list. Pick a fill color and, if available, an opacity or border setting so overlapping regions stay readable. Save the region. It now persists in your JourneyMap data, so it reloads next time you open the map. Repeat the process for each territory, country, or zone you want to mark.
