How do I get my maid to start logging trees?
Give your maid an axe and scissors, then she'll automatically chop down nearby trees and plant saplings in their place. You can watch her work or leave her to handle it while you do other tasks.
What items make maids search for structures?
Place a specific item in your maid's hand and she'll navigate toward the matching structure in the world—for example, holding a bed will make her search for your respawn point. Different items correspond to different structures.
Do I need Player Revive mod for the rescue feature to work?
Yes, the Player Rescue feature requires Player Revive mod to be installed alongside Maid Useful Task Mod. Without it, your maid won't be able to revive you when you fall in battle.
How do I make my maid steer the broom?
Ride on a broom together with your maid, then press the V key to hand over steering controls to her. She'll navigate while you sit as a passenger.
Where do I put the undead totem for instant revives?
Equip the undead totem in your maid's bauble slot, and she'll consume it to instantly skip your revive countdown timer when you die. Make sure you have totems available when you need them.
Can my maid use tools other than axes and scissors?
A hoe also speeds up her work alongside axes and scissors, giving her faster performance on certain tasks. Different tools may affect what she can do efficiently.
What happens if I don't give my maid any items or tools?
Without items in her hand, your maid won't perform the specialized tasks like logging or structure finding. She'll remain idle until you equip her with the appropriate tools or items.
Does the mod work with multiple maids at once?
Yes, you can have multiple maids working simultaneously—each one can be assigned different tasks by giving them different tools or items. They'll work independently to complete their assigned jobs.
Will my maid keep logging if I leave the area?
Maid behavior depends on chunk loading and your distance from her; check your mod settings or the mod documentation for specifics on how far away you can travel while she continues working.
