Navigate to the Nether

Travel to the Nether and position yourself in areas where ancient debris spawns—typically between Y-levels 8 and 22. Bring fire-resistant gear or potions since the Nether is hazardous.

Use X-Ray to Spot Debris

With the resource pack active, netherrack and blackstone become transparent outlines. Ancient debris appears as distinctive blocks within this wireframe. Scan your surroundings carefully; ancient debris is rarer than diamonds, so patience is required. Look for the characteristic shape and color contrast against the transparent terrain.

Extract Safely

Once located, approach cautiously. Use a diamond or netherite pickaxe to mine ancient debris—lower-tier tools won't work. Be aware of lava pockets and hostile mobs while mining. The X-Ray helps you see threats through blocks too, so watch for approaching enemies.

Collect Efficiently

Ancient debris is valuable for crafting netherite gear. Use X-Ray to map out multiple debris locations in one session, then plan a route to collect them all before returning home.
