Finding Diamonds Efficiently with X-Ray

Prepare Your Search Area

Before activating X-Ray vision, position yourself in a safe location underground, ideally between Y-levels where diamonds commonly spawn. Make sure you have adequate lighting and tools ready so you can focus on spotting ore.

Scan and Mark Targets

With the resource pack active, stone and deepslate become transparent wire outlines. Scan horizontally and vertically across your view to locate bright diamond ore clusters. They stand out distinctly against the wireframe terrain. Once you spot a cluster, mark its approximate location using landmarks or place torches to navigate back.

Mine Strategically

Approach marked locations carefully. Use an iron pickaxe or better to extract diamonds—wood and stone won't work. Clear surrounding blocks methodically to reach the ore safely. The X-Ray effect makes it easy to see multiple clusters in one area, so check thoroughly before moving on.

Optimize Your Route

Instead of random digging, use X-Ray to plan efficient mining routes. Identify clusters in a region, then tunnel toward them systematically. This saves time and resources compared to strip mining blind.
