How to Find and Learn Your First Spell

Locating Magic Scrolls

Scrolls are the foundation of your magical journey. They spawn in multiple locations across your world:

• Loot chests: Search Bastions, End Cities, Shipwrecks, and Buried Treasure for guaranteed drops
• Fishing: Cast your line in any water body—scrolls occasionally appear in your catch
• Archaeology: Use a brush on suspicious blocks in Ruins to uncover hidden scrolls
• Trading: Visit Wandering Traders who occasionally stock scrolls
• Mob drops: Defeat magical enemies like Evokers, Illusioners, Withers, and Mages

Learning the Spell

Once you've found a scroll:

1. Hold the scroll in your hand

2. Right-click it to read and permanently learn the spell

3. The scroll will be consumed

4. Your new spell is now available in your Grimoire

Each scroll teaches one unique spell, so collect multiple scrolls to build a diverse spell arsenal. Focus on exploring high-tier loot locations early for better spell variety.
