Understand Weapon-Specific Attack Patterns
Recognizing Unique Strike Sequences
Each weapon doesn't just swing differently—it follows a distinct geometric or directional pattern. Boreal Blade spirals in a four-hit sequence, Starfury traces a triangle across three strikes, and Lightning Spear cycles through three separate thrust angles. Learning these patterns helps you predict where your hits land and adjust positioning.
Adapting to Different Patterns
1. Spinning Finishers (Blood Scythe, Twilight Gale solo, Ender Glaive): These create AoE pressure and launch enemies. Use them to clear space or hit multiple targets.
2. Vertical Sequences (Hellrazor, Skyscorcher, Earth Scythe): Upward slashes and slams work well against airborne enemies and for launching targets.
3. Horizontal Sweeps (Cinderous Scimitar, Eldritch Greatsword, Soul Breaker): Wide side-to-side attacks hit multiple enemies in a line.
4. Thrust Patterns (Taiji Sword, Lightning Spear, Levin Sword): Stab-focused combos penetrate shields and maintain distance.
Practical Application
In tight spaces, favor thrusting weapons. Against groups, choose sweeping patterns. For single tough enemies, spinning finishers maximize damage and control.
