Chain Attacks Effectively in Combat
How Attack Combos Work
Each weapon has a preset multi-hit sequence that triggers automatically when you swing. These combos vary from quick two-hit patterns to elaborate five-strike routines. Understanding your weapon's flow helps you time follow-up attacks and position yourself between hits.
Executing Smooth Combo Chains
1. Initiate your first swing against an enemy or target.
2. The weapon will automatically progress through its combo sequence—you don't need to click repeatedly.
3. Each hit in the sequence lands at slightly different angles and heights, creating a natural attack arc.
4. Once the combo finishes, you can immediately start a new one by swinging again.
5. Weapons like Fireblossom Rapier (five stabs) and Ice Pike (mixed stabs and slashes) have longer sequences, giving you more time to position for the next combo.
Combat Timing Tips
Watch for enemy knockback and recovery windows. Faster weapons like Sacrificial Kris let you chain combos more frequently, while heavier weapons like Earth Scythe demand more spacing. Use the spinning or upward-strike finishers to create distance or launch enemies, then reposition for your next combo chain.
