How to Use Bulk Stairs for Wide Grand Staircases
What Bulk Stairs Do
Bulk Stairs are the chunky, wide variant in Macaw's Stairs. They read as heavy, structural steps — good for grand entrances, throne rooms, temple fronts, and any build where you want the staircase to feel massive rather than delicate.
Build the Base
Decide the width of your staircase first — Bulk Stairs look best in odd widths so there's a clear center line. Place the bottom row of Bulk Stairs across the full width, all facing the same direction. Step back one block and up one block, then place the next row. Repeat until you reach the top landing.
Add Structure and Trim
Because Bulk Stairs are thick, they leave visible side faces. Line the sides with your base material's full blocks or a contrasting stone so the staircase looks supported rather than floating. At the top, cap the run with a Platform block to create a landing. If the staircase is outdoors, run Railings down both sides — place a Railing block on the outer edge of each step so the barrier follows the slope. For indoor versions, swap the Railings for Balcony blocks to get a low decorative lip instead.
