How to Use Candy Cane Blocks for Paths and Trim
Candy Cane Block Shapes
Macaw's Holidays candy cane blocks come in a full family of shapes: the solid Candy Cane Block, plus Slab, Stairs, and Slim variants (for example Blue Candy Cane Block, Blue Candy Cane Slab, Blue Candy Cane Stairs, Blue Candy Cane Slim). This means you can build with them like any normal building block set — full blocks for surfaces, slabs for low trim, stairs for steps and corners, and slim pieces for narrow accents.
Building a Candy Path
Lay a line of full candy cane blocks across the ground to form a path from a doorway to your tree or present area. Use slabs at the edges to create a raised border, and stairs where the path turns a corner or steps up onto a platform. The slim variant is ideal for thin stripes of color along a wall base or around a doorway frame.
Tips
- Candy cane blocks are decorative, so treat them as trim rather than structural load-bearing walls.
- Alternate candy cane trim with garlands for a layered holiday look.
- Use stairs and slabs together to build small decorative steps up to a present pile.
- Keep a consistent color so the path reads as one continuous stripe.
