How to Hang Balloons, String Lights, and Garlands
Wall and Ceiling Decorations
Macaw's Holidays includes several hanging decoration families. String Lights (Blue String Lights, Blue Tiny String Lights, Blue Cube String Lights) are placed along walls or ceilings to run light strands across a room. Garlands (Blue Garland Wall Deco 1 and 2, Bottom Garland Wall Deco 1 and 2) mount on walls as draping greenery. Ornaments (Blue Ornament Wall Deco 1 and 2) and Bells (Bell Wall Deco 1–4, Bells Wall Deco 1–2) are small wall-mounted accents. Balloons such as the Black Balloon float as standalone decorations.
Placement Workflow
Start with the large elements — run string lights along the top of a wall or across a ceiling first, since they set the visual line. Then add garlands below them, and finish with small ornaments and bells spaced evenly between. Balloons work best as single accents near doorways or above a present pile rather than in dense clusters.
Tips
- Wall decorations need a solid block behind them; place them on full walls, not fences.
- Space ornaments evenly for a tidy look, or cluster them for a busier party feel.
- Match your light and garland colors to your tree's color family for a cohesive room.
